Month of June

June started out very busy. June 6th our granddaughter Gabrielle had her final piano recital at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 pm she had her granduation from high school celebration.

On June 7 our youngest granddaughter had her first birthday.

On June 15th we celebrated Fathers Day at our house . Here is Jerry and Scott holding a Stone Cold Ice Cream cake patiently waiting to dig into it. They had just got done playing a game of golf on the WII game that Kevin has and shared with us all for a fun day of golf and bowling.

We had a family photo as Kevin was in town from AZ and that don't happen often so we thought it was time to get a picture with all the childrens. Missing in the picture is Steve's fiance Holly and his daughter and two children.

Here is Jerry baby sitting his granddaughter and he is feeding her. She loves her papa and he takes care of her every Wednesday while her mom is at work.

Jerry has been spending a lot of time at doctor appointments this month so he is hopeing that next month it will be a lot less. He is feeling better so that is a good thing.
Barb has been working a couple days a week doing product demo's at Costco so that keeps her out of trouble.
One day Barb sewed curtains for Teresa's kitchen, and nook area and bedroom and bathroom.

A Busy Month of May

We started out the month of May on the 7th by taking a short trip to CA for Barb's family reunion it has been 12 years since she last saw her mom's siblings and her cousins. It was a three day fun filled packed activities.

This is our first evening in CA having dinner with Barb's cousin Patty and husband Rich and Barb's second cousin Amber and her husband Jeff, their two boys and Barb's other cousin Audry's husband Andy and their two children. Kinda of a get to know each other gathering.

On Saturday there was a tour of Hollywood Andy the guy in the picture above that went to dinner on Thursday evening was our tour guide and drove the van. The picture above is down town at Graumans Chinese Restaurant in this large entry to the restaurant individuals are dressed up as movie characters. This is just a few of them.

This picture is taken at the Chinese Restaurant. We all had been looking at all squares on the ground that the movie stars have put their hand prints and signed their names. This is is a large area so there was hundreds of squares.

This is a famous drive in called Tommy's Original Burgers. Many movie stars come here the night of the grammy awards to eat because it is to bring good luck. They drive up in their limo's and someone jumps out and orders and they go on their way. There is no sitting down at this place you order and then stand by a bar like area and eat. We ate lunch here it was cool.

On Saturday eveing May 9th we had a dinner and dance and that is when all the family was together at one place. This picture is all of Barb's cousins that attended. Eight cousins was not present. Four cousins have passed away. I have one Uncle and one Aunt left from my mom's 11 siblings still alive.

On Sunday morning (Mothers Day) we are having breakfast my brother on the right and sister on the left and my sisters children. In the far back in the green shirt is a cousin Steve and his wife next to Jerry and Barb.

Sunday afternoon there was a picnic at cousin Patty's house a horseshoe and cribbage tournament and lots of food and drinks. That wrapped up the family reunion.

On May 17th we celebrated Mothers day at Teresa's house. We had a great time Steve barbecued Tri Tip steak Teresa made twice baked potatoes and Kim fixed Ceasur Salad.
Teresa made home made fundge syrup that we put over angel food cake and strawberries and ice cream on top of that so we all indulged in dessert and then was very very full. It was a great day.

Auntie Teresa is trying to get Noelani her niece to walk to her mom Kim.

Here we are full of dinner and dessert don't we look full.

Here is papa Jerry and Gabby hanging out on the deck waiting for dinner.

Kim had to leave early to take the baby home she was tired so she is absent from this picture.

We wrapped up the month on May 24 we baby sat Noelani for the first time while her mom went to the Super Mall to shop. Papa did just fine intertaining her. Pictures will have to come in the next block posting as it posted the pictures at the top and would not let me move them to the bottom so you will see them later.

That pretty much wraps up a very busy month. The memorial week end we stayed pretty quiet.

Where Has The Month of April Gone

Since Easter week end we have been busy doing spring clean up. Been working outside on the nice days which there has been a few really warm days. Barb got anxious to get a little garden planted so she got some plants and seeds and went to it.

Well look who is helping Barb plant the garden Ark and Saw wanted to get out in the sunshine too. Looks like they might we resting or goofing off.

Then decided to start spring cleaning on the inside. Did some rearranging of furniture and Jerry decided the small TV was to small so we shopped for a larger thin line one. Then Comcast had to come out and do the upgrade to digital this past week so we will be ready for the change which they had shut a lot of our channels off already.

On Sunday Kim and Noealani paid a visit and look at this Noealani is giving papa a love she is really growing. She will have a birthday in 4 weeks.

Spring Update

In Three days we will have been back in Wa two weeks. Don't seem like it has been that long but it has.

Barb fixed Easter dinner and Kim & Noelani and Teresa and Gabby joined us for dinner. The Easter bunny left some Easter baskets.

Gabby loves her key chain now that she has her drivers license and can drive.

Here is Mom and Baby getting ready to open their Easter baskets.

Here is Papa and Nana and baby Noelani showing off our Cubby caps. Jerry is happy he has another baseball team he can root for. It is between the Mariners and the Cubs he will be rooting for whoever is doing the best. Not Barb she will stick with the Mariners, Jerry is such a trader.

Papa and Nana worked at the spring training stadium in AZ for the Chicago Cubs so that is why we all have cubby caps.

Here is baby Noelani with her rabbit ears on not sure she likes them.

Here is Teresa and Barb getting ready to put together some dessert of strawberry short cake. Yum!

This is Barb's Easter gift Gabby giving her a neck massage. She gives good ones.

There was a real warm day this past week so Barb did a little yard work felt good to get out in the fresh air.
Jerry had doctor appointment on Thursday and a MRI the same day for his back. On Friday we drove to Chelan to get the boat out of storage.

Saturday afternoon Gabrelle had her piano recital she played very very well. She is amazing how much she has learned in the short time she has been taking lessons.
Watching the Mariners game to night and will call it a week.

The Journey Back to WA

We are headed back to WA and our neighbors are sad to see us go at least we got that impression. This is our next door neighbor from Portland OR great neighbors they say that about us also. Both of us have street rods and Jerry and Rich go to the Barrett Jackson show together in January. We really enjoy this couple we golf together and the guys talk cars and really enjoy each others company.

Rich and Nancy arrived back to AZ on April 1 and brought their daughter in law and grandson with them. Below you will see Rich and his grandson Brayln and Jerry and Ark and SAW. He loved the motor home he come inside and sat in the drivers seat wish I would have had a picture of that. Brayln will be 2 on April 17th.

Well we got on the road Saturday April 5 around 9:30 and headed north. We drove to Vegas area and stayed at a park near Sams town in the Hoover Dam area. Had some dinner and did a little gambling and Barb left Vegas with some of their money and Jerry broke even. On Sunday we got up had some breakfast at the casino and headed north to Jackpot NV close to the Idaho boarder. Long day and the state of Nevada is anything but beautiful. Apparently no industry so guess they have nothing going for them but the casino towns. We arrived Jackpot, NV at 5:30 pm so drove 7 1/2 hours. We had a dinner and then hit the slot machines for a couple hours and Barb walked out with some of their money played all night on their money and then even managed to take some with her. Jerry just held his own didn't leave much and didn't take any with him. Left Monday am and headed in to Idaho and then picked up I-84 which runs along the southern border of Idaho and the nothern border of OR. We had not been on this route but really enjoyed this route very pretty country and it also is the Lewis & Clark trail route. Drove to Pendleton OR and guess what found a Crazy Horse RV park which was a indian casino. YES! we have had our share of gambling but Jerry managed to take some of their money with him so all in all we done well. Barb only left 20.00 of her winnings from NV so that was good.

We arrived home Tuesday afternoon and we had sunny weather all the way it was a very good trip. Our Neighbors in Auburn was happy to see us come back. So guess we have friends & familly in both places that miss us when we are gone. That is a good thing.

One Week Left in Sunny AZ

We leave a week from today so we got some work a head of this week. To update you on the past week it was a very busy one. Monday Barb bowled her last game with the SunBird Team and on Tuesday the team had a barbecue and awards. Barb's team won 4th place so she received $31.00 wha hoo you can even make money for being a bowler.

Wednesday Jerry went with his car buddies for breakfast and Barb did house work and then in the evening we were invited to some friends for dinner and to play cards.

Thursday was a golf day and what a challenge that turned out to be a wind storm come into AZ and blew dirt so you could not even see the Santan mountains from our house. The wind gusts were 35 to 45 miles an hour. It was not real bad when we started but it kept getting worse and betime we finished it was bad. When the wind moves the balls on the green when you are trying to putt it is pretty windy. We didn't do to bad considering the weather conditions.

Friday we worked at a spring training game.

Here is a picture of where we work at spring training. We have two games left and then Barb has to help with inventory on Friday.
Saturday am we went to the Mesa Flea Market where we worked part time this year to tell our friends good by for this year. In the evening there was a Womens and Mens Golf banquet and dance so attended that. Yes, we did manage to dance a few times but didn't stay very late as we had to work today at the spring training game.
This coming week we will be getting the Motor Coach washed and waxed and packed and leave here early Sunday am and go as far as Laughlin.
We do hope it is spring like when we get to WA. It sounds like it has been raining and even some snow showers from time to time.

Spring Training in AZ

Guess Barb is behind in updating the blog. It has been 15 days since it has been updated. Abount all that has been going on is working at spring training. Golfed one day and we both had good scores so that was a plus.

Today we are going to a potluck at some individuals house that is orginally from ND and we met them last year when we went on a Mexico bus trip.

Weather is real nice in the upper 70's and next week is to be in the low 80's.

All is well in Az and hope the same for anyone reading this update.
